Valdir Furtado
Valdir Furtado is a director whose work moves between rhythm, image and intention. With a foundation in animation and over a decade of multidisciplinary experience across music and film, he approaches filmmaking through pacing, treating timing and flow as core storytelling tools.
His films are visually driven, marked by a bold, deliberate use of colour and shaped by a process that extends deep into post-production. Hands-on by nature, Valdir stays closely involved at every stage, from early development and cinematography through to the intricacies of post-production, where he never shies away from the more technical work.
Part of a new wave of directors, he brings a fresh perspective grounded in technical precision. He was recently nominated for Best Music Video at the Vodafone Play Awards.
